BEND, OR -- A couple accused of dealing drugs throughout Deschutes County now faces a number of criminal charges. The Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on a home on Harvard Place in Bend Thursday morning, following an investigation into the sale of street-level quantities of heroin. Detectives seized heroin, packaging material, scales and other paraphernalia. They also discovered a small marijuana grow inside the home.
Officers arrested 29-year-old Mark Menke without incident. Brettney Catterlin, also 29, was contacted as she left the house with her 7-year-old son, just prior to the search. She was arrested and the boy was taken into protective custody.
