PRINEVILLE, OR -- The Crook County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting at a home north of Prineville, Sunday night. Deputies arrived at the residence at about 8 p.m. One man was transported to St. Charles Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound.

The Tri-County Major Crime Team was activated to assist in the investigation, which continued through the night. All involved parties have been contacted and law enforcement believe there is no threat to the public. 

The investigation is ongoing. The names of those involved, and the specific location of the incident, have not yet been released.
