Man Arrested For Redmond PD Damage

REDMOND, OR -- Redmond Police arrested a 29-year-old man for trying to break the windows of patrol cars in their parking lot on Monday. When officers found the Redmond man hiding in the bushes, he threatened to cut his wrists with a box knife. When he refused to drop the knife, officers tased him and he was taken into custody. 

 

Investigators say he also attempted to break office windows at the Police Department, located at 7th and Evergreen. The suspect was taken to St. Charles Redmond for medical and mental health issues.

 

The suspect's name has not been released to to HIPAA regulations. He was later lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct charges.
