REDMOND, OR -- Two vehicles were significantly damaged in a Sunday evening crash that resulted in only minor injuries. Deschutes County deputies responded to S. Canal Blvd and SW 61st just after 6 p.m. Investigators believe 67-year-old Linda Lucero of Redmond attempted to cross S. Canal and pulled into the path of an oncoming pickup driven by 33-year-old Francis Erhart, also of Redmond. 

Erhart received minor injuries and was transported to St. Charles Redmond for evaluation. The roadway was partially blocked for about an hour while law enforcement investigated the crash. They say speed and/or alcohol were not contributing factors.
