REDMOND, OR -- Tom McCall Elementary School received a sizable donation from Best Buy and Intel's Retail Edge Program. According to the Redmond School District, Best Buy store associates from across the country competed against other stores for the chance to recognize a local school with a donation. Employees were tested over the summer through quizzes and knowledge checks.

Due to the success of the Best Buy store at Cascade Village in Bend, and a partnership with Intel, Tom McCall was awarded a $5,000 prize, October 29. "Tom McCall Elementary is honored to receive this generous donation from Best Buy and Intel," Principal Drew Frank said in a release. "This gift will allow our school to provide meaningful classroom resources to help students succeed."
