Daily Flights to LAX Resume

REDMOND, OR -- American Airlines will start offering year-round daily flights from Redmond's Roberts Field to Los Angeles in December. The company stopped daily flights to LAX in September, but Nicole Jurgensen with Roberts Field tells KBND News they had a change of heart. "Currently, we don't have service to Los Angeles on America Airlines. And, it is slated to pick back up on December 17 for daily service, again."

American will also increase flight capacity. Previously, the airline used planes with 50 coach seats. When flights are reinstated, they will offer 70 coach seats and six in First Class. Jurgensen is pleased, "They're happy with how they're performing out of Redmond. and so we're happy they announced the reinstatement of that daily service. And, bringing on a newer aircraft with more capacity is another great sign of how happy they are with the service out of Redmond."  She adds, "As long as they're satisfied with the load factors and people using the service out of Redmond is really the key. If people keep using the service, they will stay. We want to encourage everyone to keep flying out of Redmond!"
