REDMOND, OR -- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hiring security screeners for Roberts Field in Redmond. The agency is hosting a career fair, Wednesday (March 1) for those interested in learning more about available part time positions. The following was issued Wednesday morning by the TSA:

TSA is one of 22 agencies within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and our mission is to protect the nation’s transportation systems by ensuring the freedom of movement for people and commerce. The most visible piece of TSA’s responsibilities is the security screening of passengers and their carry-on/checked luggage at the nation’s airports. TSOs perform a variety of duties related to providing security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft. They are responsible for identifying dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and/or on passengers; and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft. Minimum Requirements:
