SISTERS, OR -- A Missouri teen says he feel asleep at the wheel prior to crashing into a horse statue in downtown Sisters, early Friday morning. According to Deschutes County deputies, 18-year-old Skylar Doss was alone in the pickup when the accident occurred, just before 5:30 a.m.

 

Both airbags deployed and Doss was not hurt in the crash. Deputies believe he was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • ORE 22 remains CLOSED between Idanha and the junction with U.S. 20 (milepost 53-81) following a tanker truck crash that caused a fuel spill yesterday. The road will be closed to thru traffic indefinitely for the clean up of the fuel spill and recovery of the tanker.
