BEND, OR -- Rimrock Trailhead, which has been closed since October 4th for the construction of an under-crossing, was scheduled to reopen this Saturday, but due to delays in construction materials deliveries, the tunnel construction is not yet complete.
The new tunnel will connect Entrada Lodge to the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station, and stretch under the Cascades Lakes Highway.
The undercrossing is a joint project between the Forest Service and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Rimrock Trailhead will reopen a week later than originally scheduled on Saturday, October 28th.
