ASHWOOD, OR -- Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife troopers were notified this week of two buck deer found dead in Jefferson County, with only their heads and small amount of meat taken. The mule deer were found on Cold Camp Road on October 23.

 

Investigators believe the deer were shot and killed by a high-powered rifle during the weekend of October 20-22. OSP urges anyone with information to call OSP Sgt. Andrew Vanderwerf or Sr. Trooper Craig Gunderson through the Turn In Poachers (TIP) hotline at 800-452-7888 or 541-296-2161.
