BEND, OR -- A bicyclist was killed in a car crash near downtown Bend. It happened Monday at about 11:15 a.m., on the corner of Olney and Wall, across from Pioneer Park.

Lt. Clint Burleigh spoke with KBND News shortly after the incident and says, "We are in the middle of just trying to piece some of this stuff together, and figure out what happened. It's still pretty dynamic." He released few details, "It was a bicycle versus a small semi truck with one trailer on it, and unfortunately, it was pretty tragic, and the bicyclist is deceased."

Roads in the area of the crash were closed for about four hours to allow for the investigation.
