SISTERS, OR -- A man suspected of a Linn County murder was arrested in Sisters, over the weekend. According to investigators, the shooting was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Friday, at a travel trailer in a Sweet Home neighborhood. A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene; a 65-year-old was taken to the hospital.
Detectives identified 25-year-old Page Lee Butterfield as the prime suspect and say he stole a car from an acquaintance in Albany. State Police found that car parked at the Sisters McDonalds, just before 5 p.m. Sunday, but Butterfield reportedly fled through the back of the restaurant. He was taken into custody after a 45-minute search of the area.
He’s now at the Linn County Jail facing Murder and Attempted Murder charges.
