MADRAS, OR -- A motorcycle rider was seriously hurt in a Madras crash, Monday night. According to State Police, a 32-year-old Madras woman was in the turn lane on Highway 26, just before 9:30 p.m. Kelisha Beals told Troopers she was waiting to turn left on to Earl Street and didn't see anyone. But, when she turned, she heard a loud "boom" on the front passenger side of her Suburban. She reportedly pulled over and realized she'd been hit by a motorcycle.
That rider, 35-year-old Robert Peoples, Jr., was taken to St. Charles Madras. Troopers say He had a helmet but was not wearing it properly. Peoples was later flown to St. Charles Bend, where he was in critical condition, as of late Monday.
