Redmond Man Dies In Wreck

SISTERS, OR -- A Redmond man died in a wreck west of Sisters on Saturday after the Jeep he was driving crashed head-on into a tree. Police say 59 year old Ross Bedore was driving north on Forest Service Road 18-10 near Highway 242 at about 5-19 Saturday afternoon when the Jeep left the gravel road and hit a tree. Bedore was wearing a seatbelt. A family member who reported the wreck, pulled Bedore from the vehicle. A Deschutes County Deputy and a Forest Service Police Officer began CPR within a minute. Bedore died later at the Sisters Fire Department. Speed is believed to be a factor in the wreck.
