BEND, OR -- Next October, you'll need a new Real I-D Driver's License to get past airport security. Oregon will start issuing the new licenses in July, but DMV Director Tom McLellan says they're worried about delays as demand may exceed supply. You'll also be able to use a passport. Mclellan says if your passport is expired you'd be better off renewing it now and waiting to get a Real I-D Card. The DMV website explains it all. The new licenses will cost an extra 20-dollars on top of the regular fee for a driver's license.
