Oregon Health Authority Using Social Media To Discuss Addictions

SALEM, OR -- The Oregon Health Authority is using social media to encourage a conversation on addiction and mental health issues. OHA is posting stories from five people about their recovery journeys.  OHA's Brandy Hemsley says they went through treatment programs in Portland. Hemsley says the goal is to increase awareness about addictions, whether it’s to drugs, alcohol or gambling. You can see the videos and take part in the conversations on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag My Recovery Story. On Friday, there will be a Facebook live event.
