BEND, OR -- Oregon Senator Ron Wyden visited Bend to speak with high school students and public health officials about their experiences with vaping. Students expressed their concerns about the prevalence of vaping in their schools, how easily accessible vaping products are, and the limited information available about health risks.  A doctor who spoke at the round table noted several cases of teen hospital admissions with chemical burns from vaping.  Wyden says he favors taxing vaping products like cigarettes and other tobacco products. Wyden plans to continue outreach and education around vaping.
