BEND, OR -- State Representative Cheri Helt supports Governor Kate Brown’s decision to temporarily ban flavored vaping products and other sources identified in vaping related deaths and illnesses. Helt calls the governor’s order, “the right decision.” Helt says next year she will seek bipartisan support for a bill to protect those who use vaping products, including bans, if needed. Last week, Helt urged the governor to immediately issue a temporary ban on the sale of all vaping products. Oregon now follows several states that have taken legislative and executive actions to limit the retail and on-line sales of vaping related products.
