BEND, OR -- The North Unit Irrigation District Canal Trail closes tomorrow and won’t re-open until next July. Project Manager Sinclair Burr says this is Part Two of the Empire Corridor Improvement Project. Burr says another part of the project is widening the Purcell Bridge over the canal. The project price tag is between 23-and-24-million dollars and the funding comes from Systems Development Charges.
