BEND, OR -- The League of Women voters is hosting a panel discussion tomorrow night on the new Deschutes Basin Habitat Conservation Plan. The plan discusses endangered species, irrigation modernization and the competing demands for use of the Deschutes River. Over the past decades, the hydrology and ecology of the river have been heavily altered. The event is being held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bend. Doors open at 5-30 and the panel starts at 6 o’clock followed by Q&A with the audience and panel.
