BEND, OR -- The Bend Climate Action Steering Committee has been preparing the Community Action Plan to present to the city council for feedback before a vote on December 4^th. Bend’s Climate Resolution in 2016 set guidelines for developing a work group who would assist Sustainability Manager, Cassie Lacy. Lacy is to set benchmarks for carbon reduction over the next two decades. The Steering Committee is made up of 13 people who represent business, education, government and the community at large. The Committee or “CASC” will present their action plan to city council on November 6^th for review.
