Candlelight Vigil For Malaiya Hope Garcia Next Week

REDMOND, OR -- A woman who cared for 5 year old Malayia Hope Garcia from the time she was 3 months old until late 2015, is organizing a candlelight vigil in her honor. Emily Groves says she believes Malaiya’s death underscores the need to raise awareness about child abuse prevention. She asks people to wear blue at the vigil. Groves will also accept donations of stuffed animals and books and will give the items to Redmond Police and The KIDS Center in Malaiya’s name. The Candlelight Vigil is Wednesday, October 30th at 7pm at Centennial Park in Redmond.
