BEND, OR -- The Murdock Charitable Trust has awarded Bethlehem Inn a grant of 280-thousand dollars. Kim Fishbach (fish-bach) says the grant was for the completion of the Next Steps Residential building. Fishbach says Bethlehem Inn helps about 15-hundred people a year and about 25-per cent are families. She says they serve seniors, veterans and others who in many cases have a job…or work two or three jobs…but are unable to afford high rents. Fishbach says living at Bethlehem Inn allows clients the opportunity to save money for safe housing and pay rent and deposits.
