PRINEVILLE, OR -- Prescribed burn projects could start today on lands managed by the BLM Prineville District. Lisa Clark says the burns could continue through the fall into winter. She says the biggest burn will be about 73-hundred acres south of Brothers in juniper slash. Clark says they need the fuels to be just dry enough to burn. And she says air temperatures and moisture also have to be high enough to keep prescribed fires from spreading beyond the burn piles.
