Chase Ends In Suspect being Pepper Sprayed

TERREBONNE -- A vehicle chase ended yesterday with a man being pepper sprayed after he refused to get out of his car. Police say just before 7-yesterday morning, 911 advised Deschutes deputies that a Jefferson County deputy was in pursuit of a man on Crooked River Ranch. 46 year old Luke Beemer was wanted for Stalking. Deschutes deputies were able to set up spike strips which deflated three of Beemer’s tires. Later Beemer’s car was located on a dead end street and it became stuck in gravel. More police arrived and Beemer stayed in the vehicle, refusing to get out. SWAT members arrived and broke out windows and sprayed Beemer with pepper spray. Beemer is from Crooked River ranch and was cited for Driving While Suspended and Resisting Arrest. He will likely face additional charges in Jefferson County.
