ONTARIO, OR -- ONTARIO—Oregon State Senator Cliff Bentz (R-Ontario) HAS announced he will run for the Republican nomination to the Oregon 2nd Congressional District seat, currently held by Congressman Greg Walden. Bentz said, “After serving 10 years in the Oregon House of Representatives and almost 2 years in the Oregon State Senate I will be seeking the Republican nomination in the May Primary for the Oregon 2nd Congressional District seat.” Bentz added, “The challenges in Washington, D.C., are great.  However, based upon my years of working as a rancher, farmer, attorney, and as member of the Republican party successfully passing legislation in a Legislature controlled by Democrats, I feel confident that I can adequately represent the people of the 2nd Congressional District of Oregon.”
