Walden Wants F-D-A To Toughen Inspections Of Foreign Made Prescriptions

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Oregon Republican Congressman Greg Walden is a part of a bi-partisan group asking the Federal Drug Administration to toughen inspections of foreign drug makers. The group is concerned that prescription drugs manufactured in other countries may be used as a potential weapon during wartime.  Other concerns are that the cost of critical drugs could be raised to unaffordable levels or supply could be reduced in an effort to hurt the United States.
