DESCHUTES COUNTY, OR -- A Redmond woman was killed in a wreck on Highway 97 just before noon yesterday. Police say 76 year old Linda Dent was southbound when, for unknown reasons, she drove her 2017 Subaru across four lanes and into the slow lane of northbound Highway 97. Dent collided with an ODOT Incident Response Vehicle and died at the scene. The driver of the ODOT vehicle, 38 year old John Benson, was taken to Saint Charles Redmond with minor injuries. It took until about 4-o’clock to get all lanes of the highway re-opened.
