McKENZIE PASS, OR -- The Old McKenzie Pass Highway will close for the winter starting tomorrow. ODOT says  crews will close the west side of the highway from the lower gate on Highway 126 to the upper gate west of Dee Wright Observatory. Next Tuesday ODOT crews will close the eastern access at the gate west of Sisters.  ODOT says the west side has already seen some winter conditions. The Old McKenzie Pass Highway is expected to reopen in mid-June.
