Transportation Bond May Go To Voters In May 2020

BEND, OR -- The Bend City Council is looking at asking voters for a bond measure to pay for improvement projects on Reed Market Road. City Manager Eric King says the road has several problem points. The railroad is at grade, causing backups. The intersection of Reed Market at 3rd needs more turn lanes. And Reed Market at the Parkway on and off ramps, create confusion. King says the City Council is working on a $37,000,000 Transportation Bond measure to resolve these issues. It would go to voters in May 2020.
