BEND, OR -- The Deschutes National Forest is closing some gates for the season today. The gate on Forest Road 16 outside of Sisters near the Three Creek Sno Park will close today. The forest will also close the gate to Tumalo Falls outside of Bend today. On Sunday, December 1st, the Deschutes Forest will also close winter wildlife areas at various locations. The closures include Cabin/Silver Lake, the Metolious Winter Range, the Opine Travel Management Area and the Tumalo Winter Range. The closures include snowmobiles and electric bicycles to protect deer and elk over the winter
