MEDFORD, OR -- If you are driving to northern California or South Central or Southwest Oregon, including Klamath Falls,  Medford, Grants Pass or Brookings on the Oregon coast, be prepared for severe winter weather.  ODOT officials say the weather from today into Wednesday afternoon is expected to be the worst. At the coast, winds could hit 75 miles an hour. Winds will also be high and potentially damaging in inland areas of southwest Oregon as well. ODOT says Interstate-5 could see 6-to-12 inches of snow from Grants Pass south into California with even higher amounts in the Cascades.  Travelers should check the ODOT website, Tripcheck-dot-com for road and weather conditions before leaving home.
