County Commissioners Okay Warming Shelter Agreement With Neighbor Impact

BEND, OR -- The Deschutes County Commissioners have approved an agreement with Neighbor Imapct to operate a warming shelter. in November the City of Bend declared a weather emergency and a shortage of 100 warmingh beds a night.  The agreement with Neighbor Impact will allow the warming shelter to be set up in the now remodeled Work Center area at the sheriff's office.  The shelter will operate with about 50 beds from 6pm to 7am, seven days a week through the end of March. The agreement requires Neighbor Imapct to be responsible for all facets of the warming shelter operation,.
