LA PINE, OR -- Yesterday afternoon sheriff’s deputies were sent to a home in the 16-thousand block of Cassidy Drive in La Pine. Homeowners had heard their dog barking and discovered a man, 23 year old Dakota Daniel Willis of La Pine, in their child’s bedroom. They chased Willis who fled the area. Deputies arrived and found Willis running down a street and then trying to hide in a garage where he surrendered. Police say Willis had entered the home through an unlocked door but was unable to steal anything. He is jailed on Theft, Burglary and Trespass charges.
