BEND, OR -- As we reported yesterday the Oregon Parole Board will hold a hearing in April to determine a release date for convicted murderer Mark Wilson. He was sentenced to two life terms in prison for his role in the 1987 murders of Rod and Lois Houser of Terrebonne. Deschutes County D-A John Hummel said he was asked to reviewed Wilson’s record in prison and concluded he is capable of rehabilitation. But Hummel also told Central Oregon Daily reporter Anyssa Bohanon his recommendation to the parole board about Wilson was not out of disrespect or lack of feelings for the Houser family. Hummel says, "i will carry their burden with me, the rest of my life."
