BNED, OR -- Deschutes County D-A John Hummel will hold a 2-o’clock news conference this afternoon. The topic is the officer involved shooting of a suspected car thief that occurred on Robal Road, north of Bend, on the evening of Black Friday. Earlier this month, Hummel released the name of the only officer who fired his weapon as Deputy Clint Baltzor, a 12 year veteran of the sheriff’s office. The 28 year old suspect in the car theft, Adam L. Gilliam, was injured in the shooting and was hospitalized before being released into the county jail.
