BEND, OR -- Bend Police will be out tonight looking for drivers who are under the influence. Bend Police Lieutenant Clint Burleigh says last month alone, 32 people were arrested for driving while impaired. He says impaired drivers may be under the influence of alcohol and / or recreational marijuana. Burleigh says the mistake of driving impaired can lead to serious injury or death for the driver and other motorists. He says people celebrating the holidays with alcohol should plan ahead. Get a designated driver to take you home…take a cab or use a ride service.
