CENTRAL OREGON -- The unemployment rate in Deschutes county dropped from 4-point-1-per cent in October to 3-point-9-per cent in November. A year ago the rate was 4-point-3-per cent. In November Deschutes county lost 490 jobs. Economist Damon Runberg says the decline in jobs was fairly consistent with the season. Crook county’s unemployment rate fell from 5-point-5-per cent in October to 5-point-4-per cent in November. Jefferson county’s unemployment rate also dropped, from 5-point-3-per cent in October to 5-per cent in November.
