A Good Year For United Way Of Deschutes County

BEND, OR -- The United Way of Deschutes County says this was a big year for the organization. The Over The Edge Fundraiser was held in early September. At that event, 30 people rappelled off the roof of the Oxford Hotel scaling 7-stories and 70 feet down the side of the building. The Oxford Hotel is the tallest building in Central Oregon and the event raised 40-thousand dollars. The United Way Campaign has a goal this year of 1-point-2-million dollars. United Way has 26 non-profit and 100 corporate partners.
