Redmond Holds Community Meeting On Comprehensive Plan Thursday Evening

REDMOND, OR -- Last year the City of Redmond reached out to citizens to ask for their input as they began the process of updating the Comprehensive Plan for the first time in two decades.  Assistant City Manager John Roberts says, "We did a community engagement process and enlisted 22 community groups through community conversations and focus groups, to draw feeback on a variety of things such as what they value, what amenities they like most and how they'd olike to see the city grow." Roberts says at this week’s vision update meeting, citizens can comment on land use scenarios and the goals they’ve developed. He says the Redmond Comprehensive Plan 2040 projects the population will increase from about 30-thousand now to more than 50-thousand people by 2040. The Vision Update Meeting is from 6-to-730 at Redmond City Hall this Thursday evening.
