CENTRAL OREGON -- The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the driver of a car that hit a power pole about 11-45 last night. Police say a 1997 BMW 318 slid off Deschutes Market Road near Dale Road and hit the pole on the left side of the car. Police say the road was not icy and weather was not a factor. The driver was not on scene. Police searched the area on foot and used a K-9 and a thermal drone to try to find the driver without success. Central Electric Co-Op evaluated damage to the pole. The sheriff’s office says they’d like to locate the driver to discuss the incident.
