BEND, OR -- The Deschutes County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously yesterday to oppose the Cap and Invest bill before the Oregon legislature. Commissioner Phil Henderson says the bill will hurt natural resources jobs in Central Oregon. Henderson says the bill should be sent to the voters. Henderson says he would support another Republican walk-out if that’s what’s needed to stop the bill.   Deschutes County Commissioners opposed similar legislation last year during the regular session.
