BEND, OR  - - Central Oregon Community College will present an appearance next week by Justice Adrienne Nelson. Charlotte Gildbride with the COCC Foundation says Justice Nelson is the first African American to serve on the Oregon Supreme Court. Gillbride says Nelson’s appearance is part of the Season of Non-Violence event at COCC which honors Dr. Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. Justice Nelson’s appearance Tuesday evening, is full. Nelson’s Wednesday morning speech at 9 o’clock at the Redmond Campus has space available but attendees are asked to register through the COCC Foundation website.
