Juniper Jackpots Being Burned Near Post This Week

POST, OR  -- The Ochocco National Forest is burning about 150-acres of Juniper Jackpots this week northeast of Post. Forest spokesman Patrick Lair says the Junipers were cut as part of a thinning project to reduce wildfire danger and improve wildlife habitat. Lair says smoke may be visible from the Post area and the Post/Paulina Highway this week.
