BEND, OR -- Deschutes county is offering grant money to communities to pay for wildfire reduction projects. County Forester Ed Keith explains individual property owners not eligible for the grants because they’re looking for neighborhood or community scale projects. Keith says they have 20-thousand dollars for the program with the maximum grant being about 2-thousand dollars.
