Work on the Lionshead Fire is proceeding well according to Information Officer Jenny Lawver (lahv-er). The fire is currently at 204,340 acres and 34% containment. Lawver said the high winds over the weekend tested inactive fire areas, but the control lines held strong. However, she says the cool, wet weather the past few days is expected to be replaced by a warming and drying trend and that could test the control lines in new places.
