BEND, OR -- Bend Parks and Rec is preparing for the opening of ice season at the Pavilion on November 2nd. Communications Manager Julie Brown says a variety of activities are being offered for youth and adults. However, hockey leagues will not occur this year because the OHA classifies hockey as a contact sport. Brown states there will be changes to the overall experience of the Pavilion’s ice rink. Food and beverages will not be offered and the wearing of face masks may be optional. Brown says they aim to start building the ice towards the second half of next month, and registration opens October 5th.Program schedules and more details can be found on the Bend Parks and Rec webpage.
