A Bend man is heading to prison for two years after spitting on a cop claiming he had Covid. In a plea deal last week that dismissed three other cases against him, 36 year old Daniel Stubblefield pled guilty to aggravated menacing and harassment. Police say Stubblefield purposely coughed loudly and repeatedly in the officer’s direction, spitting on his face. Stubblefield’s lawyer says his client has been struggling with alcohol and mental health issues. The officer tested negative for Covid after the incident.
