The Johnson and Johnson vaccine is a new addition to the current vaccine arsenal in the U-S. Dr. Cynthia Maree, Infectious Disease Specialist at Saint Charles Health System spoke last week during a Bend Chamber webinar. Maree said the J & J vaccine is one-dose and can be mass produced and stored more easily than the familiar Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. She says efficacy of the J & J and UK Astra Zeneca vaccines range from 62 to 77 percent…and are very good at preventing serious disease.
