Finally an end to the more than week-long strike by technical workers at St. Charles Bend.  The union representing 150 workers has agreed to a cooling off period with a federal mediator until Tuesday morning and will be back on the job Monday.  Both sides have agreed to secure a contract by the end of the month.  Replacement workers had been filling in since the picketing began March 4th so hospital operations were not affected.  The workers have been fighting for a new contract that includes higher wages.
